Insecurity…Bad for Brain Work

Our culture rewards “busy”. Busy is in. If my face isn’t intently looking at an electronic device, then I must not be engaged in anything. This isn’t just young Gen Y or Millennial thing either. Our culture expects busy. When they see something that doesn’t look like it, they wonder what could possibly be accomplished without constant “working”. The problem with this busy culture is that it doesn’t know how to react to thinking. Busy doesn’t leave room for extended thought and it demands a reaction with limited thought.
